LITERARY CLUB

    Literary, derived from the French word littéraire, means relating to literature. The word literature is closely associated with creativity and inspiration, and is as varied as language itself. The Literary Club of Sree Narayana College, Punalur is a platform that connects people to themselves and to others. The club brings out and nurtures the creativity and imagination among the student community.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF LITERARY CLUB:

• To develop confidence, imagination and creativity
• To encourage students to become orators and display their intellectual and independent thinking skills.
• To develops excellent communication skills and teaches students to think spontaneously.
• To conduct events to enhance the literary skills of students.

 The literary club gives a platform to the young talents to showcase their literary skills. The club conducts monthly meetings to identify and kindle the literary potential among the students. Various competitions like poetry writing, recitation, essay writing, debates, discussions etc. are organized on various relevant topics. Important dates like world poetry day are observed and competitions are held in connection with the same. The club encourages student participation in various college, intercollegiate and university level competitions.
